Hi darling! Welcome to the my journal, my journey about my real life, my heart and my travels photographing beautiful souls! Sit back, have cup of tea and stay for a while and be sure to say hello!
Eager anticipation erupts in the back seat each time we drive by. Starbucks has become a micro obsession. Our hot-grande- pumpkin-spice-chai-tea-latte- daughter has a thing for Starbucks, and really, I can’t blame her. I’m *probably* responsible. I mean, at this point, even our Multipoo Lucy gets excited when we pull up to a drive through. When Andre I and stated dating, I told him, I was in another relationship, well a few actually. Target, Starbucks and Apple are my boos. Forever. He has accepted them as part of our covenant. Smart man.
“MOM, I want a Starbucks party.” I secretly got excited. “Oh yeah?” OMG OMG OMG OMG “Is that what you want?” (((BEGINS RUNNING AORUND THE HOUSE THROWING CONFETTI IN MY MIND.))) “OK, well if that’s what you want.” BEST. PARTY THEME. EVER. Now, understand, I have loved every single princess party, and Frozen themed birthday, but this, this was next level excitement. Since it’s not often she asks for a party and ops for a shopping spree instead, this year was FOR SURE was going to be EXTA.
We got to work planning and my mom went to work gathering. My mom is a rock star. She is the ultimate party planner (Hello Tree, I’m the apple) and from the time we were young we had epic parties. (My grandmother was a clown in the Disney parades if that give you an indication of what showed up at our house on party day. This party was no different) She went on a hunt stopping at various local Starbucks telling them about our vision. Let me just tell you, STARBUCKS went above and beyond to help make this party possible. THEY GAVE US tons of party decor, romancing my heart once again with their tall handsome generosity.
If I loved them before I am ULTRA in love them now. Forever my boo. We are ALL getting matching tattoos, right Andre?
WE HAD AN ABSOLUTE BLAST at this party. I have to say, my introverted self did an amazing job being a party host. I gave EVERY SINGLE CHILD COFFEE, candy, a puppy and sent them home with huge smiles. (Ok maybe no puppies this year, but next year, it’s happening for sure)
MY FAVORITE PARTY HONORABLE MENTION- Our Mini photo booth. **MOM TIP ALLERT. Do this at every party! EVERY SINGLE ONE.
I had a back drop stand and put up some table clothes over it, taped the ground to mark were the kids needed to stand, put circle stickers under the tri pod just in case it got bumped out of place (it did) AND BOOM. I went and got a blue tooth clicker that worked with my phone and set out some of our kids hats, sunglasses and costumes….. THEY HAD THE BEST TIME. We didn’t even need party games.
Cheers to you my sweet girl!!! May you remember this birthday forever!
Lucy believes she should also be included in the cupcakes. Sorry Luc. None for you.
